La Cantúria Cor de Cambra

La Cantúria Chamber Choir was founded in Palma by Ricard Terradas in September 2024. The choir is made up of singers with solid vocal training and experience in a wide range of musical fields. Most of its members have a background in music education and choral singing.
The choir aims to offer audiences in Mallorca a broad musical repertoire of the highest quality, with a precise and rigorous approach to performance, while ensuring that contemporary composers always have a prominent place in its programmes.
La Cantúria Chamber Choir has performed various choral works from the Renaissance, Vivaldi’s Gloria together with the Ars Musicae Baroque Orchestra, popular a cappella works arranged by contemporary composers, and the four Pentecost cantatas by Johann Sebastian Bach, together with the Acadèmia 1830 Orchestra and Fernando Marina. It has also taken part in the 18th Antoni Martorell International Organ Week, where it performed Maurice Duruflé’s Requiem, Op. 9.
