Coral Juvenil del Conservatori de Sant Cugat

The Youth Choir of the Sant Cugat Conservatory is part of the curriculum of the Victòria dels Àngels Municipal School of Music and Sant Cugat Conservatory. It is made up of young choristers aged between 13 and 15, who are students of the Professional, Advanced and Open Classroom programmes.
The choir regularly performs concerts at the Conservatory and in nearby towns. It also organises working weekends at residential camp centres, as well as exchange programmes. Over the past three academic years, it has taken part in the choral gathering of the conservatories of Vic, Girona and Sant Cugat, with the 2025–2026 gathering being hosted by our Conservatory. Last March, the choir also travelled to Errenteria, where it was invited by the Landarbaso choral organisation to take part in a youth choir gathering.
Last academic year, the choir participated in the “Gran Coral” project together with the Conservatory Choir and the Youth Choir. The project involved spending a few days at a residential camp centre and preparing a joint repertoire, which was subsequently performed at the Teatre-Auditori de Sant Cugat.
The Youth Choir works on repertoire that allows its members to develop both musically and vocally, while taking into account the characteristics and development of young voices. Raimon Romaní Cornet is the conductor, Joan Ramon Company is the pianist, and Lluís Fàbregas is responsible for movement work.
The Victòria dels Àngels Municipal School of Music and Sant Cugat Conservatory has six choral ensembles: Children’s Choir A (ages 8–9), Children’s Choir B (ages 10–12), Youth Choir (ages 13–15), Conservatory Choir (ages 16–19), Young Adult Choir (ages 20–25), and Adult Choir (parents and other adults).
