How to Reach Mallorca
The Festival takes place in Binissalem, a town on the island of Mallorca. For those of you from the island, you probably know where it is. For those who are not from the island and are interested in participating in the 4th Binissalem Choral Festival, we explain below the travel options.
Plane: This is the fastest means of transportation, but it is usually also the most expensive. The organization is in contact with travel agencies to try to obtain the lowest possible price for interested choirs.
Boat: This is a cheaper but slower option. The positive aspect is that the organization can access a discount with a ferry company that operates routes both between the islands and between the mainland and Mallorca. For participating choirs coming from outside the Balearic Islands, the Festival will provide financial assistance of €20 per singer, up to 35 singers, to help reduce travel costs.
Accommodation
To stay for the 4th Binissalem Choral Festival, we offer different options
For staying in the town of Binissalem itself, in previous editions of the Festival, the organization promoted a volunteer accommodation network among local residents to help make travel to the island more affordable for choirs coming from outside. The initiative was very well received by the people of Binissalem, as there were still available places for accommodation. For the third edition, the organization is once again promoting this volunteer program, as the experience was very positive for both participants and hosts.
Another posibility is to stay to the hostels close to the town. The most suitable hostels which we have contacted are: the Lloseta Hostel and the Alaró Hostel
On the other hand, if you prefer, there are also holiday rental houses in Binissalem and the organization can put you in touch with those responsible for different accommodations
In both cases, places in each of the accommodations will be limited; depending on the number of singers in the participating choirs we will have to adapt and find the formula that best suits the situation.
These are the options that we propose from the organization, as they have a lower cost than hotels and hostels in other places on the Island. If you do not want to access these proposals, the group will have to manage its accommodation, and from the organization we will help with what we can.
